Types of device accepted
Do you accept any other electronic products? 

At the moment we are purchasing iPhones, Samsung Galaxies, iPads and Apple Watches. However, we are continually adding to the devices we purchase. Please reach out to us via the "Contact Us" page if you do not see your device listed.

Device condition definitions
How will you grade my device? 

Like New:

  • Choose if ALL of the following are TRUE:
  • Like new with no signs of use
  • 100% fully functional with no operational issues
  • No cracks, scratches, dents, or dings
  • No LCD damage or defects (including white spots, LCD burn, dead pixels, backlight shadow, no display)
  • Above 80% battery health
  • Free from any lock, carrier blacklist, financial obligation, and liquid damage


Good:

  • Choose if ALL of the following are TRUE:
  • 100% fully functional with no operational issues
  • Normal signs of use but no major cosmetic wear (including dents, dings, heavy or excessive scratches)
  • No chips or cracks on the front or back glass
  • No LCD damage or defects (including white spots, LCD burn, dead pixels, backlight shadow, no display)
  • Above 80% battery health
  • No engravings
  • Free from any lock, carrier blacklist, financial obligation, and liquid damage


Fair:

  • Choose if ALL of the following are TRUE:
  • 100% fully functional with no operational issues
  • Has heavy signs of use (dents, dings, heavy or excessive scratches)
  • No chips or cracks on the front or back glass
  • No LCD damage or defects (including white spots, LCD burn, dead pixels, backlight shadow, no display)
  • Above 80% battery health
  • No engravings
  • Free from any lock, carrier blacklist, financial obligation, and liquid damage


Damaged:

  • BOTH of the following are TRUE:
  • No LCD damage or defects (including white spots, LCD burn, dead pixels, backlight shadow, no display)
  • Free from any lock, carrier blacklist, financial obligation, and liquid damage


BUT ANY of the following are also TRUE:

  • Cracked front or back glass
  • Non-working buttons, headphone jack, or speaker/microphone
  • Below 80% battery health
  • Has engravings


NOTE: Having more than one of the foregoing conditions can cause the device to be downgraded to Broken



Broken:

  • Choose if ANY of the following are TRUE:
  • iCloud, Passcode, Google, Samsung, MDM, or DEP account lock
  • Bad ESN or IMEI due to balance owed
  • Does not recognize SIM Card or Wi-Fi
  • Non-working fingerprint sensor, Face ID, or any other biometric sensors
  • Malfunctioning touch screen
  • LCD damage or defects (including aftermarket screen, white spots, LCD burn, dead pixels, backlight shadow, or no display)
  • Does not power on or has bent frame
  • More than one of the Damaged conditions are true


NOTE: Having more than one of the foregoing conditions can cause the device to be ineligible for purchase and recycled


We do not purchase blacklisted or liquid damage devices

Shipping your device
How do i send my device(s)? 

After submitting your order, you will be emailed a packing slip and pre-paid shipping label. Securely place your device(s) and a copy of the packing slip inside your shipping box. Affix the shipping label to the outside of the box and drop off at any USPS location.

What is the cost of postage? 

There is no cost to ship your device(s). All shipping costs are covered by GadgetBuyback.com

How do i receive my pre-paid shipping label? 

After your order is fully submitted, your pre-paid shipping label will be emailed to you within minutes.

Are any accessories required with device shipment? 

No, we only require the handset and battery.

Please make sure your SIM card is removed.

To protect your data, GadgetBuyback.com will destroy any SIM cards received,


Please note that we accept no liability in the event that any device is sent in with its SIM card installed.

How long do I have to send in my device(s)? 

Please send your device(s) within 14 days of your order submission.

After 14 days, your order will expire.

Expired orders will need to be resubmitted.


To resubmit, simply login to My Account and click Add New Order.

Is my shipment insured? 

All packages are insured up to $50 for free. If you'd like, you can purchase additional shipping insurance to cover the full value of your offer.


This amount will be deducted from the final offer amount.

We are not liable for items that may be lost or damaged by the carrier.

I sent my device(s)... has it arrived? 

Our automated system will send you an email notification when your device(s) have arrived.


When using our easypost service, it should take approximately 1-3 business days for packages to be delivered to GadgetBuyback.com With remote regional area parcels, it can occasionally take up to 7+ days for packages to arrive.

How do I send more than 20 or more devices?

Can I send my devices from outside the country? 

We currently only purchase devices bought and sold in the United States.

Payment
How soon will I get paid? 

We will send same-day payment once your device passes inspection and quote is accepted.

I have received an email confirmation that payment has been sent to me, but I have yet to receive any funds.

What model
How do I find out what model my device is? 

Most models have a printed label on the back of the handset OR under the battery pack, if the back is removable. You can also go to the Settings icon on your device and scroll down to About.

What if my device is not on the GadgetBuyback website? 

If your device is not listed on our website, please reach out us via the "Contact Us" link on our home page.

Why do I need to type my IMEI number into the website? 

Inputting your IMEI or serial number is optional. Once your order is received, we will attach your IMEI to your order.

This is required to ensure we are not purchasing stolen devices.

How do I find my IMEI or Serial number? 

Most models have the IMEI number printed on the back of the handset or under the battery pack if the battery is removable.


If the battery is not removable, the IMEI number can be found by going to the phone keypad and performing the following steps:


1. Press * # 0 6 # on your keypad.

2. Press ‘Call’ or ‘Send’ as if making a call.

3. Your IMEI number will be displayed on your screen.


Cloud locks
How do I disable iCloud/Find My iPhone from my Apple device? 

From your computer:

  • Go to www.iCloud.com
  • Log into icloud.com/find with Apple ID and password
  • Select device from “All Devices” drop down and select your device (top, centre of screen)
  • Device pop up box will appear.
  • Click “Remove from Account “
  • confirm by clicking “Remove”


From your Apple device: (iOS 10.3 or later)

  • Tap Settings > [your name], then scroll down.
  • Tap any device name to view that device's information
  • Scroll down and Tap [ Remove from Account ]

How do i remove my Google lock from my Android device? 

Here is the way to turn it off Reactivation Lock from Google’s website.

  • Log into https://myaccount.google.com with your Google email address and password.
  • “Under Sign In & Security >” On left of screen - click on “Device Activity And Notifications”.
  • On the right of the screen click “Recent security events” and click on “REVIEW DEVICES”
  • You will now see all devices linked to your Google account.
  • Click on every single device which you want to remove (inc. the one mentioned above) and select REMOVE under account access.


Other
What if my device(s) is reported lost or stolen? 

GadgetBuyback will only honor the buyback price on devices not reported lost or stolen.

If any product(s) sent to GadgetBuyback has been reported lost or stolen,

we will not process payment for, nor return, the device(s).

GadgetBuyback is required by law to report any lost or stolen devices to local law enforcement authorities.

What if the phone or device is counterfeit or copy? 

Counterfeit/fake devices sent will be properly destroyed and recycled by Gadget Buyback.

No payment will be made and the device will not be returned.

What if the condition of my device differs from what I stated on my quote? 

Five (5) Day Return Promise :


If your device condition differs from what was stated on the original quote, we will contact you by email or phone.

You will be given the option to accept the adjusted price, or have your device(s) returned.

There is no fee for the return of your product(s).

If we have not received a response within five (5) days, we will process the order and submit payment at the update price.

I sent my memory card or SIM card with my phone. Can I have it returned? 

If you've sent in any accessories by mistake, please reach out to us via the Contact Us link and we will attempt to get the accessories returned.

Will my device(s) be data erased? 

Yes. All devices received by Gadget Buyback undergo a full testing and erasure process. All data will be wiped and the phone will be reset back to factory settings.


Any products that will not power on are recycled in an environmentally friendly manner.
